- hiring Mel to animate our network
- the refounding and commitment to sociocratic process

What is your co-op’s ambition for the coming year? How could CoTech support it?

- to resolve the question of vision (worker's co-op or freelancer's co-op, the social goal and the scale we want to achieve)
- resolve the question of brand
- define clearly the bounds of the commons, so we know what Code-Operative is
- publish membership guidelines and a new website which reflects those objectives
- establish a culture/infrastructure which allows people to contribute freely and which allows them to achieve their personal co-operative ambitions
- sort out the inactive network membership and build a better membership process
- establish a more consistent sales pipeline

Animorph What was a highlight in your co-op since the last gathering (September 2021)? Please share links if applicable.

Slowly returning to work after intense sick leave to dig in the mud and fly high on the journey with fellow Morphs. New member, taxonomy, first medical device tested with patients!

What is your co-op’s ambition for the coming year? How could CoTech support it?

Continue to cultivate and nurture such a caring working crew, supporting everyone to bring their best and grow and flourish. Curious to hear stories of how folk in other co-ops support each other, and any structures in place to aid this endeavour.

Recent celebrations in-person with the new and incoming team members. Also we turned 10 years old.

What is your co-op’s ambition for the coming year? How could CoTech support it?

We formed a co-operative.

What was a highlight in your co-op since the last gathering (September 2021)? Please share links if applicable.

We had our best year based on turnover and also hired a Studio Manager (Olivia). This has enabled us to improve our client service and increase project time.

What is your co-op’s ambition for the coming year? How could CoTech support it?

To grow, taking on another member while increasingly improving our processes and service. Through opportunities to collaborate and gain insights/learnings from other members of Cotech.

What was a highlight in your co-op since the last gathering (September 2021)? Please share links if applicable.

Going on our first team retreat in late 2021. Hiring Anna, an apprentice developer from Founders and Coders. Delivering workshops for the UnFound Accelerator in collaboration with Outlandish and Co-ops UK. Seeing some of our collaborators (Queensland Greens) win 3 seats in their federal election.

What is your co-op’s ambition for the coming year? How could CoTech support it?

Work on less but bigger projects – it would be great to collaborate with another co-op on a bigger project. Find funding to support our own research and development ideas. Hire 1-2 more people – it would be great to find these people through the CoTech network.

Took on the biggest project yet, membership change, meetup in person, Worker co-op weekend.
